2 ways Black Widow’s post-credits scene will affect Phase 4 of the MCU
Fans were given chance to process Natasha Romanoff's loss through a prequel film, Black Widow. At first glance, it might seem like the sole purpose of the movie is to give more insight into Romanoff’s legacy. However, the post-credits scene proves that there’s more to the story.
2- Yelena’s recruit
With her witty charm and assassin training, Yelena Belova was a useful asset in the movie.
However, will this beloved character remain in Romanoff’s past? Well, in the post-credit scene, she visits her sister’s grave in what is obviously the post-Endgame era. Then, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) approaches to inform her that Clint Barton is responsible for Romanoff’s death. It is easy to guess that Yelena, who already seems to be on Valentina’s team, will attempt to avenge her sister’s death in Phase 4.
1- Hawkeye’s solo project
Clint Barton has been a valuable part of the MCU since its dawn. Despite contributing heavily to most plots, he was still pushed behind the shadows of more popular heroes such as Thor and Black Panther. Nevertheless, he is mentioned in the Black Widow’s post-credits scene as the one to blame for Romanoff’s death. He will most likely be in the center of a conflict with Yelena Belova in Phase 4, especially after Marvel confirms his upcoming T.V. series.
Black Widow helps fans with the grieving process but also introduces new storylines and lovable characters.
